Highlighting is one of my favorite things to do during my makeup routine. It consists in illuminating the higher parts of your face or the parts where the sun hits you.
Iluminar o «highlight» es una de mi parte favorita de mi rutina de maquillaje. Consiste en Iluminar las partes más altas de tu cara o las partes donde el sol te cae.
There is liquid, powder and creme highlight but what I recommend you to try first( if you haven’t yet) is the powder highlight because is easier to apply. If you try out the liquid or the creme highlight use a little sponge to apply it and blend all the product. Remember to moisten it with water or apply a little bit of baby oil to facilitate the application.
Hay iluminador líquido, en polvo y en crema, pero el que recomiendo que pruebes (si no lo has hecho ya) es el iluminador en polvo ya que es de más fácil aplicación. Si vas a ir con toda y probar los líquidos o cremosos usa una esponja para aplicarlo y difuminarlo. Recuerda humedecer la esponja con agua o aplicar un poquito de aceite de bebé para facilitar la aplicación.
Highlighting will always make something stand up, we normally highlight and contour our faces but now there is a trend around called «Strobing». It consists in illuminating all the parts where the sun hits you and in this case you wouldn’t do any contouring, so the highlight stays on its own.
Iluminar siempre hará que algo sobresalga y es común que cuando nos maquillemos escuchemos los términos combinados ‘Contorno e iluminación’, pero ahora está de moda lo que se llama «strobing», lo cual consiste en iluminar toda las partes donde cae el sol dejando atrás el contorno y así la iluminación queda por su cuenta.
